Classes

Our English classes are unlike a typical language class at your home school  Students are involved in highly interactive and engaging learning activities.   Students relate to pop/rock music and our classes use music on a regular basis to enhance English vocabulary and everyday expressions. Partner and group activities use discussion, debate, problem solving and concensus building approaches.  Game-like activities are an enjoyable way to improve vocabulary and comprehension.

Within the four week program students receive:

• 50 hours of class instruction.
• Students are evaluated at the beginning and the end of the program to determine their individual levels.
• Language immersion reinforced by recreational and social activites.
• Conversational Practice with their host family.
• Language instruction using videos, books, magazines, newpapers, games, music and problem solving activities.
• Music and more music - we know you like rock/pop etc. and so do we!; From the Beatles to Katy Perry or Led Zeppelin to Lady Gaga and Adele the vocabulary you learn is effortless!  You listen to English lyrics all the time so why not take advantage of this great way to learn more English!   Every English class we listen to songs and talk about the expressions and vocabulary used. It's important to learn the expressions that native English speakers use every day and music helps you do this!  Also we like to use stories about music artists from the "Rolling Stone" magazine for more in-depth discussion.
